YouTube Channel – Creating Passive Income

How easy do you think it is to make money from Youtube? I don’t think it’s easy. I still wondered though, is it possible to make a Youtube channel a passive income source.

Of course, I know myself, so my first question (to me) was, what to make videos about. I have a passion for doing, it seems, everything. I also didn’t fancy the idea of actually going in front the camera, and worst yet, not being consistent and eventually stopping.

So, I was content with doing nothing and just enjoy the content others made.

One day though, I came across a video that basically said you could make money with water. WHAT??!!

Well, as with most things, I willingly went down that rabbit hole. The catch though, after watching a couple videos, I actually believed I could do it.

So I started my youtube channel, a noisy soul.

What’s the deal with water?

That is an excellent question.

You may have seen videos with only the sound of water, set against a pretty backdrop of flowing streams, you get the picture. I have actually tuned in to those types of videos before, and here I was being told how easy it was to make them and most importantly, make money from them.

I was intrigued. These videos are good for white noise, meditation and relaxation, all things I have searched for videos like these before. Right there and then I decided I was going try. That’s the least I could do.

Expectations for Youtube Channel

As of todays awesome post, I have had the Youtube channel for 10 whole days. I don’t expect to have overnight success with this, but as I mentioned, I am intrigued and I want to see how this goes and what I can actually achieve. I am also motivated, as I can create videos I actually look for and can use. So self-serving right, lol.

But I see this as a win-win and I am enjoying it so far.

Enjoying it. A good sign I might stick with this, but it has only been 10 days. Check back with me in a month or two.

The Youtube Channel Content

To create the content for the channel, the concept is simple:

• search for royalty sounds and videos
• piece these together in a video and upload to Youtube
• get the 1000 subscribers and 4000 viewing hours, you currently need to monetize your videos
• be consistent uploading content

That is basically what the videos I watched said to do.

This type of content has millions of views, some over the span of a couple years, but still, that is a lot.

In the short space of time I have been doing this, I have discovered quite a bit, most importantly is, that it’s not as easy as it sees, but maybe it’s because it’s new to me. It really takes some work and time to find quality content, lots of time, especially if you are going for free content, and I expect there is more to learn.
