It’s hot and I’m sweaty. My fall itch has officially kicked in and I want to buy ALL cozy new things. Unfortunately, funds are a little tight right now, so I’m getting creative with my existing wardrobe! I dug through my closet and realized just how many transitional pieces I have that can give my summer wardrobe a fresh face for fall.
THE GRAPHIC TEE
I’ve always been a sucker for a quirky graphic tee! Whether you rock a lot of band tees or want to express your love for waffles; the possibilities are endless. Graphic tees are THE perfect transitional wardrobe staple. You can keep it simple in the spring and summer then layer it up for fall and winter to express yourself all year long!
FOR NOW | Tuck it into a light-weight skirt, pair with metallic sandals & a casual crossbody
FOR LATER | Pair it with distressed skinny jeans, a faux leather jacket & low-heel booties

THE SLEEVELESS DRESS
No sleeves, no problem. Your favorite summer sleeveless dress can easily be transitioned into fall! You can get creative with layers by trying a contrasting blouse underneath or add a pop of color with a cardigan. Add a little extra coverage with tights or knee high socks! I love dresses because it requires little thought and packs a polished look.
FOR NOW | Pair your sleeveless dress with wedges, statement necklace, and a simple handbag
FOR LATER | Layer a blouse underneath or a cardigan on top, cozy up with tights, and a pair of oxfords

THE LACE-UP FLATS
Despite some raised eyebrows in the winter, I wear flats all year around! Lace-up flats are a huge trend for summer, and if you’re shedding a tear as you pack them away for the cooler season…turn that frown upside down! You can keep rockin’ those beauties into fall. From classic black to a vibrant pop of color, lace-up flats are an instant statement piece for your shoe closet.
FOR NOW | Pair them with a flirty summer dress or skirt and a coordinating clutch
FOR LATER | Style with a pair of cuffed ankle jeans or pixie pants and a chunky sweater
